Drive-by Donation Event
Thanksgiving is a time for families to gather around the table filled with the traditional turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, and sweet potato casserole. But for the homeless, it can be an especially difficult time to be struggling not only to feed an empty stomach but to feed their soul.
To receive a meal provided by loving hearts and hands can reduce the loneliness of this holiday. Unity of San Antonio has been asked to help Wounded Hearts bring a traditional Thanksgiving meal to the homeless on the northeast side of San Antonio by donating items to make a meal.
You can learn more about Wounded Hearts online here. https://www.facebook.com/1woundedhearts
