Every evening at dusk, something extraordinary happens just outside San Antonio. Twenty million Mexican free-tailed bats pour out of Bracken Cave in one of nature's most breathtaking spectacles — the largest mammal colony on earth taking flight right before your eyes. Join our EarthCare Team for an unforgettable field trip to Bracken Cave Preserve and witness this remarkable natural wonder for yourself.
Number of guests at Bracken Cave are strictly limited and only those with tickets can enter. Tickets sell out quickly for the summer at $30 each, but because of Caron De Mars's volunteer work at the cave, she secured 20 tickets at $15 for the flight viewing July 28. Tickets were first offered to EarthCare members, and seven remain on first come first serve for the community. The link will no longer function when the number 20 is achieved.
