For Valentine’s Day, Say “We STILL Do”
Revitalize and deepen the commitment you and your significant other share. Our group Recommitment Ceremony is an opportunity to appreciate, celebrate, and reaffirm your promise to one another. All are welcome as we come together as a community to support couples in a committed relationship who wish to revivify their vows at our Recommitment Ceremony.
The ceremony will be held Sunday February 11, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. in the Unity Church of San Antonio Sanctuary, located on 1723 West Lawndale Street. Live music from David Groce will be featured. The ceremony will be officiated by Jennifer “Birdie” Shawker, LUT Candidate.
Afterwards, we invite all attendees to our CommUNITY Center in the building next to the sanctuary for an extended love-themed social hour with light refreshments. The address is 8103 Broadway Street in San Antonio. Our bookstore, “Intentional Life Books and Gifts,” also located in the CommUNITY Center, will have extended hours for Valentine’s Day gift shopping.
Pre-registration is helpful to us, but not necessary. Click here to preregister. Come as you are, or dress up, bring flowers, and know that ours is a welcoming community. All committed couples, their friends, and family are invited. Our statement of inclusivity expands on this:
Unity Church of San Antonio is an inclusive spiritual community. We welcome, affirm, and uphold everyone, appreciating how the One Presence expresses in wondrous diversity. We welcome into the full life of our spiritual community persons of every ethnicity, language, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, economic status, occupation, and faith background. We bless and honor all committed relationships and families, and welcome all who genuinely desire to celebrate, study, and serve with us.
The Couples Recommitment Ceremony and social time afterward are offered free of charge, but donations (love offerings) are welcome and appreciated. So, if you have been together a short time, a long time, had a hard time, or an easy time – it matters not. Revitalize your love and commitment with CommUNITY, on Sunday, February 11, after church at 12:30 p.m. We look forward to celebrating you both!
