“Principled Plans,” Jennifer Gates Youth and Family Ministry Director
“Since two or more gathered together have the tremendous power that Jesus promised, what power would be released if thousands could be united in speaking one thought?” – Myrtle Fillmore
This week marks the beginning of the planning phase for our children and teens as they work towards producing their 2nd annual Youth-led Sunday Service! This year our topic will be Unity’s 5 Principles.
Over the past six weeks, our children and teens have learned about each of these 5 Principles, one by one, and we will now be looking at how they function together and are presented in our day-to-day lives.
As our children and teens grapple with their own thoughts about these Principles and how to embody them in the world, your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your continued support of our ministry!
You may have noticed some exciting growth and a little bit of dust in the Unity Heights building as we prepare to expand our Youth Ministry classroom space! A huge thank you to Mel Ingalls, Dutch Berkeley, and Gary Murray of our church Facilities Team – they have put in many hours with room renovations, painting, sanding, and general awesomeness. We also had several members of our Youth Ministry Volunteer Team join together on May 12 to paint the walls and trim in the new spaces! Thank you to Gary & Jordan Glassman, Melissa, DeMarcus & Kiana Simpson, Ellie & Zinnia Crowley, and Tom, Addison & Samantha Gates!
Prayer: Divine Spirit, I am grateful for all that surrounds me and supports me. I rest comfortably knowing that all is connected, and that God is everywhere I look. I am grateful for the air I breathe, for the solid ground beneath my feet, for my friends and family, and for the beauty I see around me every day. Thank you for helping me understand that I am part of all of this!
Affirmation: I am part of all that is. My energy is limitless.
