What Would Love Do? Jennifer Llamas, Youth and Family Ministry Director
What would love do? How do I expand my presence in the world? Why does nature pause, rest, and release things in the autumn? These are all questions we will be exploring over the next month in our Youth Ministry classrooms. This week, we begin with “What Would Love Do?”
Love is the essence of who we are and the purest expression of recognizing, feeling, and sharing our oneness and interconnectedness. When we share our own feelings about love and how this affects everyone and everything around us, we are functioning from the core of our being and bringing out even more of the love and light in ourselves and others.
With an open heart, we can approach all situations with the intent to open more doors and create more opportunities for ourselves and those around us. Starting from a point of love, we realize that every person is complete in their individuality and a part of the greater Whole that is Everything. We are both the drop and the ocean made up of drops.
Through stories, activities, and discussion, we will examine ways that we can see the goodness and perfection around us. Asking, “What Would Love Do?” and then, doing that, we are better able to recognize that we already contain within us everything we need to succeed. We pledge to bring love to all of our encounters and take joy in the reality that we are a unique and special part of an existence greater than the mind can even comprehend
