2020 in Youth Ministry at Unity Church of San Antonio is all about Power – our inherent 12 Powers, that is! During the month of April, our focus is on the Power of Love. We often think of love in terms of an emotional response that can ebb and flow, but the Power of Love is unwavering and is inherent in our very nature – ever present and ready to be put into service.
During the coming weeks, we will examine the Power of Love from many perspectives. Love is the power that pulls us together. Love is the power that brings peace and harmony into our world. Love is the power that allows us to see and accept that we are one with the Divine and one with our fellow man. The Power of Love is greater than any fear or discomfort that we may feel.
The Power of Love also flows through the Easter Story. As we head into Palm Sunday, we will review the Biblical story of Jesus’ journey to Jerusalem as we delve into the magnetizing power of love. Again, if you are interested in receiving the YM Lesson plans in your inbox, let us know, send your request by email to [email protected]!
Here’s a brief re-cap of what we’ve been discussing in YM this year:
In January, we learned about the Power of Faith, understanding and trusting that which is yet unseen. February brought us the Power of Strength, our ability to stand steadfast in our truth while allowing for flexibility and change. During the month of March, our children, teens, and volunteers unpacked the Power of Wisdom – the wisdom in listening, in seeing, and in asking thoughtful questions.
