Food Drive Thank You!
Jennifer Gates, Youth and Family Ministry Director
“We shall serve for the joy of serving, prosperity shall flow to us and through us in unending streams of plenty.” – Charles Fillmore, Unity Co-Founder
Small but mighty – that’s how I would describe our wonderful Unity Church of San Antonio CommUNITY! And if you’d like some proof to substantiate my theory, how about these amazing numbers from the recent San Antonio Food Bank food drive in which so many of you supported our Youth Ministry program:
Financial Contributions: $533
Pounds of Food Donated: 265
Meals Provided: 5,723
Our Youth Ministry children and teens have been working with the concepts of Prosperity (October study) and Active Gratitude (November study), and your enthusiastic support of their food drive outreach campaign provides a beautiful, concrete example of these concepts at work in the real world. My heart is full!
As we celebrate the change of seasons (and weather!) in San Antonio, rejoicing in the beauty of fall, I am reminded of the fact that life brings changes to each of us. As a CommUNITY we can rest well knowing that by our actions, we have eased the minds and tummies of our larger San Antonio community as some of them encounter such changes or challenges in their lives.
The brightness and beauty of your donations creates a canvas of beauty in our church home and beyond. Knowing that our needs are met and we are richly blessed, we reach out to bless others.
A special thank you to the Simpson Family for being our liaisons with the San Antonio Food Bank. For each and every one of you who contributed or uplifted our efforts through prayer, your gifts are deeply appreciated. May the enjoyment of nature’s beauty and the Divinity within every aspect of our world be with you in all you do! Happy Thanksgiving!
