“Co-Creation and Compassion” with Jennifer Gates, Youth and Family Ministry Director
Unity Principle #3: I create my experiences by what I choose to think and what I feel and believe.
“We must realize that the mind makes real things.
‘Just a thought’ or ‘just a mere idea,’ we sometimes lightly say,
little thinking that these thoughts and ideas are the eternal realities
from which we build our life and our world.” – Charles Fillmore
During the month of March, our children and teens have been reflecting upon the quality of compassion and looking for ways in which to bring a more compassionate approach to the world around them. As seen in Principle #3, we are co-creators of the world around us, and as such we choose our thoughts, feelings, actions and re-actions.
This week, our children and teens will be working with the ideas of self-compassion and self-forgiveness as they discover more about our own ability to craft the life we live. Learning that we each have choices every day and that we are capable of shaping our own experiences is a valuable lesson at any age.
Our children and teens are led by dedicated, passionate adult volunteers who serve as guides and facilitators – bringing forth the innate wisdom that each child and teen carries within. We are blessed to have dedicated, involved volunteers as well as a larger church community that fosters ongoing spiritual growth and development for all.
Mark your calendars for our upcoming Family Connection Opportunities:
