“Know Thyself”
The idea has been floated that once a person reaches the age of self-knowledge, he or she finds that they actually know very little, and maybe nothing. But the power in the awareness of that reality becomes palpable. The person no longer strives for perfectionism, but are content to work and live with what they believe.
“Self-reverence, self-knowledge, self-control; these three alone lead one to sovereign power.” – Alfred Lord Tennyson
