Las Posadas Metafísica with Flavio Vilches, Lisa Garcia, and Rev. Jimmie Scott
Discover the metaphysics of Mary and Joseph’s search for a place to stay where Jesus could be born in this multigenerational service that celebrates the South American tradition of “Las Posadas.”
As portrayed in words and music by CommUNITY members of all ages, Las Posadas (Spanish for “the inns”) is a celebration around the concept of hospitality. All are welcome and warmly invited as we view this religious festival traditionally held in Mexico and in some parts of the United States between December 16-24…… with a Unity lens.
We learn from the Posadas the essence of our Core Value of Welcoming, and its far-reaching implications in our lives.
We warmly invite all to this special service on Sunday December 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. and to a Posada Party afterwards in our Community Center. Give some thought to inviting a friend or neighbor to come along with you!
Register online by clicking here to bring an item (such as tamales) for our Posada Party during social hour after church. Homemade or store bought items are fine. If it is a warm item, please place the food in a crock pot and bring to the CommUNITY Center between 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Our Community Center is located at 8103 Broadway Street in San Antonio, Texas. Thank you for your support of this special day!
