“Commitment to CommUNITY”
Guest Speakers Alli Mifflin-Groce, Mel Ingalls and Birdie Shawker
Are you commitment phobic when it comes to spiritual community? Why is that? Are you concerned you’ll over-commit and feel overwhelmed? Let’s take a look at this on Sunday when three of our members explore what Commitment to CommUNITY means to them. You might be surprised to learn how their commitment benefits them, our CommUNITY, and the world!
About our Speakers
Alli Mifflin-Groce is a member who truly commits to our community. She serves as a slide presenter, photographer, and as a member of our Communications Team. She contributes frequently to our church blog, “Light for the Road Ahead.” Her most recent role in Sacred Service has been coordination of our Sunday Service.
Mel Ingalls has had a long-term commitment to our CommUNITY; he has been a member for well over 25 years. He currently serves as leader of the facilities team, but over the years has served in a number of roles, including that of serving on our Board of Trustees.
Birdie Shawker serves our community beyond her role as a church employee. She is a prayer chaplain, and is an LUT Candidate. Birdie has served in many roles in different Unity churches and in the Unity movement for the past 15 years.
