Sunday, August 6, 2017 11:00 a.m.
Please join us on Sunday, Aug 6 at the 11:00 a.m. service to hear the inaugural tones of our very own Unity of SA CommUNITY Singers, directed by David Groce. David has created his own arrangement of the music that will be offered Sunday. Members of the CommUNITY Singers are Unity of SA congregants. The group was created to be a fun, spiritual, and uplifting outlet allowing for CommUNITY involvement musically. They have been rehearsing after church for the past four weeks to perfect the songs they will share with you on Aug. 6. Future plans for the Unity of SA CommUNITY Singers include periodic singing at services, and possible sharing of holiday music. If you like to sing and were unable to participate this time, watch our newsletter and website blog for opportunities later.
About the Director: David Groce
David Groce is a singer, pianist, composer, and Native American flute player. A lifelong lover of music, he discovered a natural talent for singing as a child. In his late twenties, he walked away from a job in retail sales to study music full-time at San Antonio College. He currently provides music and sensory therapy for adults with intellectual disabilities. David and his wife Alli live in San Antonio, Texas.
David has provided his music direction for the Unity of SA CommUNITY Singers as a Sacred Service Volunteer. We are profoundly grateful for the time and talent he has dedicated to this project!
We also wish to thank all the singers for participating, as well as our Music Ministry Directors, Kelly Quinn Pfeiffer and Chris Pfeiffer for their participation and unwavering support of our CommUNITY!
