This week on the road ahead, Rev. Jimmie has generously allowed me to take the wheel.
I’ve been thinking about forgiveness lately. When I start thinking about something, I like to know exactly what that something is. So, I started to do some research online as to the definition of forgiveness.
Just trust me on this, opinions of what forgiveness is greatly vary. Guidance how to go about forgiving also varies – a great deal more!
Ah, I’ve done it again. Tried to metaphorically reach into the glove box, and find the drivers manual to the spiritual life. While that’s a helpful thing in a car, there is no such thing for the spiritual road.
Forgiveness is not like a broken car part we can replace by following the steps in some manual.
But this week, I discovered that I’m willing to forgive. That’s a powerful place to be in, and an excellent start.
Drive Safe, Ya’ll,
