Rev. Jimmie Scott
Today as I sit pondering the road ahead, I am also celebrating the beginning of my 77th year on the planet. It is without question a humbling experience, but it’s also exciting!
Of course, optimism doesn’t guarantee that I will make it to 78 or beyond. But I am willing to give it my best shot!
In both developed and undeveloped countries (whatever that means,) life expediencies seem to cover the gamut. So, maybe life expectancy is purely kismet.
Whatever the case, the word for the road ahead is gratitude. Be grateful to be alive. Be grateful for science and medical advancements.
Be grateful for the indomitable spirit of the divine, which is our spiritual birthright.
Stay well my friend.
“The two hardest tests on the spiritual road are the patience to wait for the right moment, and the courage not to be disappointed with what we encounter.” – Paulo Coelho
