With Rev. Jimmie Scott
“You find peace not by rearranging the circumstances of your life, but by realizing who you are at the deepest level.” – Eckhart Tolle.
Faith, like any other state of being, must be combined with wisdom and understanding to be most effective. Otherwise it may turn into blind faith, and blind may work in some situations. But if one’s life is at stake, it is always a good practice to be prudent in all matters.
Interestingly, the more difficult and demanding life gets, the tendency to engage in reckless behavior increases. A good example of this premise is the reckless behavior taking place in many places during what may be the greatest and most dangerous pandemic ever.
Since there is no predictability in life it is hard to measure the long term effects of this reality on the entire planet, but at the personal level it can be measured by the amount of unease an individual experiences in his or her life. Unease can express itself as depression, anxiety, unexplainable fear, worry and many other unexpected symptoms.
This week as you travel the road ahead, I invite you to consider wisdom and understanding as your closest friends. Then measure the effects they have on your peace of mind.
Safe Travels Friend,
Rev. Jimmie Scott
