Rev. Jimmie Scott
A recent daily word message spoke about the importance of spiritual vision and how important it is for one’s journey in life. As I have reflected on the idea over the past few days its importance is taking on a greater role in everything I do and conceive of.
Before our current pandemic, my life was dictated by my regular routines and patterns. I took certain things for granted simply because I had the freedom to do them at leisure.
Now I must plan my days and routines around restrictions. I must have a strategy just to shop for groceries or to take a walk.
Having a simple chat with a neighbor even has an element of anxiety attached to it.
Then as I watch the daily briefings of the current state of affairs, I have to ponder the fact that our current reality is not likely to improve for quite a while.
I realize that the only thing I have control over is my own thoughts. For years I have known that to be true but never has its importance been as clear as it is today.
For the Road Ahead,
“Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens.”- Carl Jung
