For those unfamiliar with the course, this is great time to begin - Jan.4, 2012 weekly, each Wednesday, 7 pm in the Education Bldg Family Room (building behind the church  sanctuary at 1723 Lawndale.).

A Course in Miracles is designed as an individual self study to facilitate our learning 
to listen to and trust our internal Teacher. This is accomplished through realizing an awareness of our judgments and asking Holy Spirit to heal and assist us in our willingness to forgive. This choosing to forgive is an extension of love; where once we chose separation from others and God through judgment, we now choose love, through the grace of forgiveness that is not of our ego. This change of mind perception is the Miracle.

As we choose forgivness of others and ourselves, our perception of the world changes and we become the cause of peace. As we choose to remember who we are, the perfect, whole creation of God, the Holy Spirit extends this energy to heal the world.

ACIM students find it helpful to meet with others to listen and share their paths of self discovery.  Once a week for over 21 years, an ever-changing group of people have met at Unity Church of San Antonio to study ACIM. This group practices open discussion, stimulated by the reading of A Course in Miracles. One can join at any point in their learning. This study is about remembering who we are and removing all barriers to the awareness of love's presence.

We are so glad you found us, and that we have the pleasure of meeting you! The Course has been studied here for over
25 years.  “The spirit is in a state of grace forever. Your reality is only spirit, therefore you are in a state of grace forever.”
We meet every Tues. from 7:00-8:30 in the family room, at Unity  on Lawndale. We read from the lessons, and the text sharing our insights along the way, in keeping with the topic.
If you are new to the course, and have the book, you might like to read, "What It Is," from the Preface.
Then the Introduction p.1, before Lesson 1, to understand how the Course can lead you to true perception.
This is a self study course. It teaches through experiential learning. Together we discuss, affirm and ultimately listen to our internal teacher to ascertain the truth. Meeting and reading together helps to fortify our intentions, and increase clarity of perception. Just being involved in the reading, and lessons, whether full understanding is gleaned or even a gentle brush with its meaning occurs, it will work for you. Spirit is busy in each of us remembering the truth while our ego
wrestles with the details.
You will find your way from fear, which is of the ego, to Love, which is of God and, to the peace you seek.
From lesson 82: “Let peace extend from my mind to yours,
                 I share the light of the world with you,                   
                 Through my forgiveness I can see this as it is.”
