Capital Campaign donations have enabled us to make room for a growing congregation and its diverse needs, including youth ministry, adult study, community service, social activities, bookstore/café, and interest group gatherings.
Since kicking off our capital campaign in 2007, we were able to move the business and communications office to the Unity Heights building and thereby remodel the former office space to meet the needs of the Youth Ministry for a thriving, integrated youth program. Due to campaign funds, we have a Community Center and Conference Room, both used for various functions several times a week. Campaign funds have enabled us to refinance the Unity Heights building and, therefore, reduce the mortgage by half!
Our campaign continues into 2010 as we continue plans to provide ample space for activities, celebration, study, and service. Giving to the campaign makes room for SPIRIT to provide the answers for you and for UCSA as we “radiate God’s light.”
What are the future plans for the Capital Campaign?
When the time comes to demolish and build in the current area of the social and educational building, children and youth will have classrooms in the Unity Heights building while their new space is under construction.
With community service and education to those in need being the other, and equally important, thrust of what we are called to do at UCSA, plans are for leaders and volunteers to organize and implement a program of community outreach and service. Capital Campaigns funds will enable us to have available space for the services we will offer.
It's exciting times at UCSA as we continue to assist in growing the UCSA Church community and involve new members in our vision!
